Some nice person finally sent me a Google+ invite.

But when I click to Google+, it tells me, “You must be over a certain age to use this feature.” Noooo!

I looked through my Google Dashboard and found YouTube as the only place where I’ve ever given Google my age. So now I’ve deleted my YouTube account (one that I never used) in hopes of getting Google+ to work.

The most incredible video I’ve seen of the Alabama tornadoes. You should watch it, really.

Thumbs up to this viral marketing effort since I totally fell for it.

From a technical perspective, I think it would actually work if..

    • iPhone supports 3.5mm jack video out
    • The signal repeater has a big power source
    • Ad displays use radio transmission rather than a wired video signal

Wow, that Rebecca Black chick is only 13.

That changes everything. I thought she was more like 17.

For a 13-year-old, the mediocrity of her singing is much more acceptable. The blame is mostly on Ark Music Factory for being such corny amateurs. The lyrics are absolute shit, and so is the audio production. The video production is even worse. It looks like they put some good money and effort into the filming, but there is absolutely no stylistic consistency. It looks like they just threw in every eye-catching trick and hoped for the best.

But of course, the biggest question is: Why are 13-year-olds driving around in a convertible and partying on a Friday night?

Spent Friday afternoon watching Grammy performances and Super Bowl ads on YouTube.

I’m such a loser that I missed both of those. But broadcast companies are even more losers for not hosting full video streams of these things. Rather than earning ad revenue from online views, they just put these past broadcasts away forever.

It didn’t seem like anything amazing happened at this year’s Grammys. As for Super Bowl ads, there were actually a lot of good ones this year.

First, I need to shout out to Chevy for doing an amazing campaign at this year’s Super Bowl! I don’t know what ad agency they use, but all of their spots (and they had a lot) were incredibly smooth, sensible, well-targeted, well-scripted, well-shot, and sometimes downright hilarious. I only wish they featured the Volt as much the Cruze. The Cruze may be its volume seller, but the Volt is what drives the Chevy brand and image.

Wow I just spent the last two hours learning about Egypt and foreign affairs.

So now it’s 1:45 in the morning.

I’ve always considered myself apathetic to politics, but I actually do find it interesting. I simply push it aside most of the time because I don’t see any good that can come out of politics. To me, politics is stimulating yet useless.

Some videos you could watch if you have time:

Diplomatic vehicle runs over dozens in Egypt

Sorry, the content is a bit graphic. I try to keep my Tumblr clean and positive, yet reality is sometimes much more grim. I don’t take sides in this Egypt crisis and most such issues, but I despise any need for chaos and violence. I also despise ignorant idiots around the world who don’t care for other people’s problems and don’t realize the significance of human life (referring to YouTube comments).
