    sofapizza: the only reason to play. I’ve never beat this game in my life, and believe me, I did attempt it many times back when the web was very lame. I was so jealous when my grandma actually won and got the winning animation thing.

    Alright, my computer’s back up!

    GRUB shows up now and I can boot into both Ubuntu and Vista. Crunchbang got lost somewhere, but it’s okay, I rarely ever used it anyway. For future reference, simple directions to restore bootloaders are here.

    Computer’s borken

    It seems like my Master Boot Record got corrupted after installing some Windows updates overnight. It loads the BIOS then refuses to show GRUB or do anything else. I had a Windows 7 RC 1 CD handy so I decided to try fixing the MBR with the built-in FixMbr tool. That was a stupid move since my computer now tries to boot into a Windows 7 install which doesn’t exist (I have Vista, Ubuntu, and Crunchbang installed). It was also stupid since I forgot that I needed to have a GRUB menu rather than booting straight into Windows. Now I’ll go grab a Ubuntu Live CD and restore GRUB the right way. 

    This makes me sound like a geek. -.-
