I’m such a loser that I missed both of those. But broadcast companies are even more losers for not hosting full video streams of these things. Rather than earning ad revenue from online views, they just put these past broadcasts away forever.
It didn’t seem like anything amazing happened at this year’s Grammys. As for Super Bowl ads, there were actually a lot of good ones this year.
First, I need to shout out to Chevy for doing an amazing campaign at this year’s Super Bowl! I don’t know what ad agency they use, but all of their spots (and they had a lot) were incredibly smooth, sensible, well-targeted, well-scripted, well-shot, and sometimes downright hilarious. I only wish they featured the Volt as much the Cruze. The Cruze may be its volume seller, but the Volt is what drives the Chevy brand and image.
I guess you don’t like streaming your content online after all. As great as the Grammys’ social media channels are, its broadcast partner CBS apparently won’t allow streaming of the actual TV broadcast. Instead, the so called “GRAMMY Live” is a stream of the backstage area. Lame.
I was working out during the first hour of the Grammy, which meant I had to read closed captions. That was fine since I knew I’d get home by the time the important awards came on. Well, now I’m home and I can’t watch it because I refuse to sit in front of this ancient technology known as the TV. Guess I’ll have to catch up tomorrow morning on YouTube!

Unlike some other events, ahem Super Bowl, the Grammys usually does a great job utilizing modern technology. There’s obviously the standard Twitter and Facebook updates, which are the most accessible but not particularly fun. The Grammys also has a partnership with Tumblr as typical from years past. Then they offer a live stream on both the official site and through YouTube. Beyond that, there’s a rather irrelevant iOS and Android app endorsed by Katy Perry. Or you could go to AOL’s very complete coverage of the whole thing. Or, you could just go old school and watch it on the CBS channel. The choice is yours.
Such a sexy TV!
It’s a 40” Sony LED panel loaded with Google TV, which is basically Android customized for the big screen. With it, you can stream Netflix/Pandora/etc, download apps, and browse the web with picture-in-picture (!) Chrome. The TV itself is powered by an Intel processor (!) and has 4 USB ports plus built-in WiFi. As for the remote, it’s actually a QWERTY keyboard. Or you could download the matching app for Android or iOS to use your phone as the remote!
This stuff isn’t even new. It just hasn’t caught on in the market, so now you can get it for a pretty decent price.
Loving this show so far. Check it out if you haven’t already.
This looks really good! I’ve love this era in history.

Did anyone else tune into StandUp2Cancer? Who was the hot Asian girl on Violin accompanying Leona Lewis and Stevie Wonder? I need to know more about her. =]
NatGeo is doing a segment on the Audi factory! I gotta watch it (with Hulu of course).
