Batman Tumblers in Desert Camo
I was actually at Carnegie Mellon last week while they were filming. Too bad I didn’t get to see these in person.
..while researching colleges on my laptop, which made it just a little more confusing. I actually never wanted to watch that movie but my dad got the DVD. A good movie for sure, but not one I would file away as a favorite. The idea is fine, and actually correlates with what I’ve been learning in Psychology, as was the special effects filming, which IMO was the best element.
What brings it down for me is that there was really no effect on my mindset. It was a fine piece of action to itself but I’m left with no feeling when the film’s over. Honestly, I don’t watch movies often, but when I do I want one that makes me appreciate its aesthetic beauty and then leave me with something to ponder afterwards. You’d think Inception would be that kind of mindfu*k every talked about but it really wasn’t for me.
Oh, and one shocking thing about the film: No sex, no humor, not even blood. Just pure action start to finish!
Deathly Hallows Part I premiered a few hours ago!
Here are some quotes:
“Yeah I’ve got miniature donkeys, miniature pigs, there’s an ice cream truck…a hovercraft. I’m just having fun with it. I’ve collected a few strange things over the years.”
—Rupert Grint, when asked why Daniel Radcliffe calls his house Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory“As I was about to, I kind of scurried off [the set]. I could feel it welling up inside me. It was an emotional moment. I knew I was going to break down if I stayed any longer.”
—Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), when asked if he cried on the last day of shooting“I can’t tell you it. It was difficult for all three of them, Dan, Rupert and Emma. They were all very emotion to let go.”
—Director David Yates on who was the most emotion on the last day of filming“I’m loving it! I don’t really miss it. I’m not gonna lie. I can wash my head, in a basin…in a sink. Takes me like five minutes to get ready. It’s great.”
—Emma Watson, on the benefits of having short hair“Dan was like an old soul in a young body. He had a curiosity and a generosity of spirit. Rupert was just such a great comedian and had a warmth. And Emma was smart as a whip even then. And they were just good!”
—Producer David Heyman on what he first saw in his three leads when they were first cast

TheWrap:
With the logjam finally broken, production will begin in February.
Release date for the first part (there will be two parts) set for December 19, 2012. The budget is $400 million.
Most awesome.
Hm.. very nice. But I never managed to finish either the book or the video game.
You know, I’m not a movie person at all. Stepping inside a movie theatre is an annual event for me. But The Social Network is one movie I want to see. I don’t know why, but I’ve just heard good things about it. For the record, it has a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes while The Dark Knight and Inception only got a 93% and 87%, respectively.
I first saw the 500 million friends ad campaign about 2 months ago. I had thought it would turn out to be some budget movie made for geeks. I mean, how can you make a movie out of a freaking website? What an awkward title! Justin Timberlake is in it? Haven’t we learned that singers always make for lousy actors?
But as October 1st came closer, I started hearing mad praise about it. No, it’s not just the best release this week, not the best movie of the season, not quite even the best movie this year. Rolling Stone says, “[It] defines the dark irony of the past decade.” Damn, now that is something.
So, maybe 2010 will be the year I watch two movies. I already watched Despicable Me back in August.
That “maybe” is because the film is not yet showing at my theatre, and because for now I’ll have a hard time finding someone who wants to watch such an awkward-sounding film.

Does this have something to do with Inception? I never watched it but I heard something about a top..
I just done watched Despicable Me . It’s pretty average. Plot is a bit too linear, style was good, overall alright for a G (Correction: PG.. why the hell?) movie. I’d say my highlight was the rap intro. I was sitting there thinking, hm.. Pharrell, Andre, some up-and-coming? Yep, it turned out to be Pharrel Williams sitting really high up on the credit roll. I’m back in my dorm with the soundtrack already downloaded. Yeah, it’s damn good, the score.
Oh yeah, I got there late so I was in the second row with my neck cocked. Sucked.
Did yall hear? There’s gonna be a movie about Facebook. And it’s gonna starr Justin Timberlake. Hell..
