Some photos I’m entering for an Outdoor Photographer contest. They were all taken last year in China’s Huangshan. I visited on a foggy day, but that only made things more interesting.
The Sayan Mountains’ towering peaks and cool lakes southwest of Tuvagive rise to the tributaries that merge to become one of Siberia’s major rivers, the Yenisei River, which flows north over 2000 miles to the Arctic Ocean. This is a protected and isolated area, having been kept closed by the Soviet Union since 1944.
That just sounds like an amazing place to explore.

I went here two summers ago and it is every bit as amazing as it looks. Totally worth seeing in person some time in your life.
