Wow, the new design on Google Maps is incredible. I think I’m more excited for the UX improvements brought about by Google+ than the social features.
I’m pleasantly surprised with how many tabs my puny Cr-48 can handle. There’s a certain amount of lag to the whole system, but no worse than having only a few tabs open. So to speak, Chrome multitasks very well on 2GB of RAM, but the OS still needs to tighten up some basic things like scrolling and input lag.
I wake up to do a Google search, and whoa, new UI! I didn’t think the old one was that bad, but this refresh seems to take some themes from the Chrome team, which is great because Chrome definitely has the best designers within Google.
New UI on my Cr-48. Looks more interesting than before, but it’s still drab grey.
