Here’s what remains of my house that got hit in the huge tornado that just came through Alabama.
Tuscaloosa, the University of Alabama college town, was the site of the “mile-wide” tornado video going around on YouTube and national news. The school has cancelled final exams and postponed commencement to this August.
Yesterday’s outbreak of 164 tornadoes left 250 over 300 dead across 5 states. Based on historical data, the entire month of April is supposed to see an average of 163 tornadoes. Weather experts say 2011 could easily set a new record for the number of reported tornadoes.
