Jaguar C-X16 on the loose by Effspots on Flickr.

I’m of the belief that body panel edges should not define a car’s design characteristics. Oh well, at least they made a fastback Jag.

I’m really craving Adobe Illustrator right now.

And, I know, that’s sort of a weird thing to crave.

But sometimes you have a great idea in your head and there’s nowhere to lay it down but in Illustrator.

And, of course, I don’t own Illustrator and I don’t believe in piracy.

I think I’ve “tried” the 30-day trial like thrice already.

And, sometimes, I think I should just hand in the $300 or so for a student version of CS5.

That’s not only a great deal, but it’s a fair price to pay, I believe, for all the capabilities you are getting.

And then, in the end, the problem is that I don’t have $250 and even if I did it would feel weird pay for a randomly-generated software key when I have so many other things I need to buy.

Whoa.
Polaroid just announced they’ll be releasing a 16MP “smart camera” that’ll run Android on it!
You’ll be able to play with photo apps, connect to WiFi, edit in-camera, and all that jazz.
Polaroid’s New Camera Will Run Android

But, but, but… Polaroid is just a zombie brand that whores its name out to generic wares like digital photo frames and DVD players.
The original Polaroid company filed for bankruptcy in 2001, and then the new and crappier Polaroid company went bankrupt again in 2008. They haven’t made anything worthy in decades, even if the name still harks back to the instant-film days.
And even when we disregard just how idiotic an “Android camera” is both for the consumer and for market positioning, you can judge right off the press shot that this is crapware.
I mean, look, did they put two Camera and Album icons on the homescreen? Obviously the camera feature on a digital camera should be emphasized, but you don’t do that by taking a stock Android build and just putting the Camera icon on there twice. And by god, does that dock have a brushed aluminum texture that somehow turns transparent and fades into the wallpaper?!

    Fan mail

Very unenthused with the texture and typeface choices they offered.

On the eve of the 2012 North American International Auto Show, we had an exclusive, behind-the-scenes peek at the new Lexus LF-LC concept car, a core from which all future Lexus models may draw inspiration.

The side profile looks bad, but otherwise I’m super glad they got the “hourglass” grille right! The one they showed on the GS concept was terrible. The point (if you ask me) is to have the grille split toward the sides of the car as it flows back, meaning the “waist” of the hourglass is at the leading edge at the nose of the car like they have here. Now it’s fantastic.
