    I have an interview with USC this afternoon.

    I really don’t know why I signed up for it. They’re the only college that offered me an interview and they said “space is limited,” so I just jumped at the chance. But it’s like an hour away and I don’t have anything spectacularly creative to say.

    I feel like with college admissions, if you really want to get into a school, you need to think of something completely mindblowing for every interaction you have with the school. Obviously no one tells you that, but when they ask you for an essay, you can’t just write a normal essay. If you go for an interview, you can’t just answer what they decide to ask you. The only problem is that it takes so much more creative planning to do something out of the box for every step. That’s just how I feel anyway.

    2. wonder-ben said: nah you don’t have to be mind-blowing. you just have to be solid, even if you don’t know what you wanna do. decent grades and activities outside of school. put some ambition and drive on top of that and you’re in.
