showing their respect for the chinese/taiwanese people? Lin is one of the few Asian Americans to ever play in the NBA so i think that their just trying to show their massive appreciation for him and his play.

But you do remember I’m Asian too?

I think Lin deserves much respect for his skills and performance alone (not to mention his great attitude).

If all the Asian people are suddenly Knicks fans because JLin is the first Asian-American, that’s fine too.

But you must’ve forgotten about the whole debacle about “Is Taiwan a country?” Asian people who identify as Chinese or Taiwanese bring their flags in (two different flags, mind you) to show Lin as part of “them,” when he is really just Asian-American and it’s simple as that. Bringing politics into a sport is unnecessary.

I want to go to a Knicks game and wave around my American flag.

Wtf are these people doing bringing Chinese and Taiwanese flags to NBA games?

Or how religion can dumb down a whole nation….

We really need to change the way we structure the topic of evolution.
We need to frame the question in a way that asks whether or not someone accepts or denies evolution, not whether they believe or disbelieve in evolution.
Belief implies that there is a choice to be made. It implies that there is a possibility that the theory of evolution is mere hypothesis rather than an established, verifiable, empirical fact.
I cannot believe that only ~39% of people in the U.S. accept evolution. Although, Canada is intermediate between the U.S. and European countries. I think our number is something like ~61%. Still dismal.

Whew, got accepted by University of Florida!

This is only my third acceptance, out of like 20-something schools.

We are finally getting fresh snowfall.

And it is very slippery.

I almost got rear-ended.

There was an Altima coming up behind and I heard it skid, so I let up my brakes. Good thing, because when I looked back it seemed like it was an inch away from my bumper. See, you CAN avoid a rear-end accident.
